Metrics for studying berry growth kinetics in seedless grape cultivars (<i>Vitis vinifera</i> L.)

چکیده

The process related to the changes in dimensions and mass of grape berry passes through two growth phases separated by a lag phase, can be described double sigmoid curve. onset their duration are important factors for understanding processes berries. A new method quantitative determination was developed present study. In this method, phase transition dates correspond times at which rate change curvature logistic (sigmoid) curve reaches an extreme value. tested on three seedless varieties, Sultanina, Ruby Seedless Rusalka 3, were tracked from anthesis harvest. For each model length, width harvest metrics - beginning, stabilisation end determined. It found that do not match shift relative other over time. comparison with phenological metrics, such as anthesis, veraison ripening, showed phenophases cannot used time scale record acceleration processes, they shifted metrics. An exception veraison, coincided beginning accelerated grapes during second following phase. presented current research is tool monitoring could help clarify links between visible berries ongoing within them. also analysis various follow law.

Abnormal Endogenous Repression of GA Signaling in a Seedless Table Grape Cultivar with High Berry Growth Response to GA Application

Gibberellin (GA) application is routinely used in the table grape industry to increase berry size and cluster length. Although grapevine cultivars show a wide range of growth responsiveness to GA3 application, the reasons for these differences is unclear. To shed light on this issue, two commercial grapevine cultivars with contrasting berry response to GA were selected for comparative analysis,...

Transcriptome analysis during ripening of table grape berry cv. Thompson Seedless

Ripening is one of the key processes associated with the development of major organoleptic characteristics of the fruit. This process has been extensively characterized in climacteric fruit, in contrast with non-climacteric fruit such as grape, where the process is less understood. With the aim of studying changes in gene expression during ripening of non-climacteric fruit, an Illumina based RN...

A Seedless Grape in the Heart.

A 65-year-old woman was admitted with shortness of breath and chest pain. A computed tomographic angio-gram of the chest performed for suspected pulmonary embo-lism showed a filling defect in the left atrium, concerning for a tumor or thrombus (Figure, A). Transesophageal echo-cardiography revealed a large mobile mass in the left atrium attached to the interatrial septum with a very short pedic...

Phenolic compound profiles in berry skins from nine red wine grape cultivars in northwest China.

Phenolic compound profiles were investigated by HPLC-MS in two consecutive years to assess genotypic variation in berry skins of nine red Vitis vinifera cultivars. The results showed that the types and levels of phenolic compounds greatly varied with cultivar. Common wine grape cultivars such as Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Gernischt and Merlot contained more types of anthocyanins, flavo...

Auxin synthesis-encoding transgene enhances grape fecundity.

Grape (Vitis vinifera) yield is largely dependent on the fecundity of the cultivar. The average number of inflorescences per shoot (i.e. shoot fruitfulness) is a trait related to fecundity of each grapevine. Berry number and weight per bunch are other features affecting grape yield. An ovule-specific auxin-synthesizing (DefH9-iaaM) transgene that increases the indole-3-acetic acid content of gr...
